Inspirations
The Circles Chain Necklace is the result of researching how delicate knitted fabric changes its shape and feel when embedded or embellished with metal elements. At once the delicate viscose knitted fabric becomes more luxurious and the way it drapes over the body lends itself beautifully to the creation of jewellery. The colour inspiration for this necklace came from wanting to evoke the feeling of a dark stormy, brooding sky illuminated by a chink bright vibrant colour.
Colour is very important to me. Creating the fabric myself means I have control over which colours I want to use and also a choice of thousands of different colours and textures of yarn in order to create the right feel that I am looking for.
When I where a piece of my jewellery over a simple plain top then I feel like a million dollars! In fact the pieces often look at their best against a plain background as it really shows their colour and sheen off beautifully.
